Gestalt

Design is more than just the sum of it's parts. Each element is considered and thoughtful to be aligned with pushing forward the central concept. We make sure the trellis of ideas is solid so that the vines and flowers of design can grow strong and reach for the sun.

Experience

Creation is only as good as the filter we pass the information through. That filter is the mind of the creator. That knowledge and trust in the varied experiences of our lives helps us be more effective creators, and is only distilled and refined through time and effort. We bring those years of experience to the table to give you the highest quality design.

Experimentation

We are always experimenting with new ideas. You don't stand out amongst the crowd if you look like everything else that's out there. In order to do that we need to tread new ground. Whether that's experimenting with new artistic mediums, inspiration sources, or life experiences. All this helps us bring new ideas to the table. Every project is unique and special and we make the visuals, vidoes, and reflect it's unique identity.

Pushed Boundaries

Any studio can churn out trends. We are not just any studio. If it helps support your ideas and communicate properly, pushed boundaries can help set you apart from the crowd. We aren't afraid to do something that challenges the norms if it helps support your businesses' ideals and message.

Branding

Branding is essential for communicating the core values of your business. No opportunity should be overlooked to support those ideals, and nuance and attention to detail are essential. We thoroughly research every aspect of the brand design to make sure that color, form, iconography, typography, and more help build a solid foundation for which the message of your business stands.

Graphic Design

Shapes have a voice. Color has a voice. Typography has a voice. Any group can sing, but to truly make music you need someone who can make all the elements form a chorus. Our team works with you to take your ideas from concept to creation.

Video Development

Social media and easy access to tools of production and distribution started a communication revolution. However, this broad access does not guarantee a quality message, statement, or promotional video. We know that visual storytelling is similar to a language, and the understanding of all its possibilities is a requirement to create effective video productions. This goes beyond HD video cameras and editing software. We create videos for your company that effectively communicate a story that can truly make a difference. It starts by hiring the right professionals. In the end, people tell the stories, cameras just record them.

James Saturnio

Art Director / Co Founder

In 2005 Steve Jobs gave a Commencement address at Stanford speaking about life and doing what you love. In it he relayed a short story regarding the connection between his decision to drop out of college and the series of events that led to Helvetica and other beautiful typography being a fundamental part of the personal computing world. He stated, “you can’t connect the dots going foward; you can only connect them looking backward. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.” My experiences are varied and non-traditional, but they have served to develop my character in a way that is diverse, empathetic, and open in a way that serves my design style. This helps bring fresh ideas and perspectives to all I create.

I studied graphic design in college for several years and it has always stayed with me. I continue to do freelance jobs, and I have a bookshelf littered with books I have continued to pick up regarding typography, calligraphy, design, and history. It’s in my blood. My home is littered with letterforms that I have collected over the years.

I am meticulous. I worked for a proofreading company for several years and currently work with medical billing, where an eye for detail is mandatory. I was also (and to a certain degree still am) a professional organizer. My philosophy for organization (UX/UI) is based on working with people’s behaviors and integrating them into any new system that is created.

Paula Scher, in her TED talk in 2005, spoke about moments in her design career where she had no idea what she was doing and, without the limitations of everything that she had produced before, found new and exciting ways of creating visual identities. It has always inspired me to take new challenges head on and with seriousness even if I come to a situation where I have no prior experience. This is where great ideas are born, and fixing and improving things have always been a great source of inspiration for me.
